Developing A Trusting Heart

A Trusting Heart

Heart Disease caused by stress is a huge concern for everyone, and has been for 1000’s of years though we may not have known what to call it.  In the Bible a scripture says that “hearts will fail because of fear.”  Fear is a very stressful emotion, thus stress is the ultimate culprit that causes the heart attack.

A stressful heart is a heart that doesn’t trust — in God, in humanity, in personal goals and ambitions.  It is always worrying, always fearful, always at risk of that fatal “big one” because of the cares of life, constant worrying or constant complaining.  It is always working, always rushing to get a job done and is never content.  It has been categorized by professionals as a “type A” personality.

A trusting heart, on the other hand, is one that is hopeful,  relaxed, enjoying life through all its curves and bumps along the way and has learned contentment in life’s current circumstance, whatever it might be.  The person who has developed a trusting heart has learned to relax and not to “sweat the small stuff” because its all “small stuff.”

Is it possible to develop a trusting heart?

Yes, it is possible.  It will take work and a change of lifestyle, but you can develop a trusting heart and, as a result, live longer and be happier.  Stress is a killer.  This website is all about identifying the lifestyles and the unhealthy habits that cause stress and learning how to manage those everyday stressful situations that are a part of everyone’s life.

But, first you have to want to change.  You are ultimately in control of your health, good or bad.  If you want to develop a trusting heart you will need to voluntarily learn to relax, learn to enjoy life, give up the anger, the work-a-holic lifestyle.  Can you do it?  I believe you can!
