As we age, our goes through a transformation. The body goes through various stages at the different phases of our life. Some of the changes are by our choice and some are because of other factors that we did not choose. The is no natural way to add a few inches to your height. The size of your head is the size of your head and short of some type of radical surgery, it is beyond your control. But we do have control over how much we weigh, and whether we are fit and trim. Out diet and Fitness regimen and how well we use it is up to us. Because we decide this, then we also control it.

Experts have know for years that carrying too many extra pounds is not healthy for anybody, and much has been written on the subject. The cause of death of a lot of people might not say that a person weighed too much, but it is definitely an underlying factor in many deaths. But, it is also well known that these problems are also reversible. By losing the extra pounds you can reverse the negative effects if you choose to do so. If this is what is desired than the choice must be made to take control of the situation and not let the situation be in control.

It is up to each person to choose why they need to start a fitness regimen because no person can do it for the same reason. No one has the same reason that they are overweight and why they want to lose the weight is also different. One person might decide to get healthy for their family. You might want to alter the way that different people view you. Still others might be up watching late night television and see an infomercial selling the latest and greatest six pack ab exercises program. It really doesn’t matter why. It is necessary to have something that will give you a drive to finish the task that you have set before yourself. Without the proper motivation, a person will rarely succeed in a weight loss program. When you have a great reason to succeed then you are less likely to quit a program before you start.

The next step after you realize your desire to lose weight, is to decide how much you want to lose and in what time frame. By setting Goals, it gives you something to strive for and it helps to know whether you should stop or continue on your weight loss journey.
